Caregiver Job Description

Duties:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals in need of care
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Monitor and manage behaviors, providing behavior management techniques when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, or social outings

Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Experience working in home care or nursing home settings is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Skills:
- Direct support skills to assist individuals with their daily needs
- Behavior management techniques to handle challenging behaviors effectively
- Knowledge of dementia care practices to provide appropriate support for clients with memory loss
- Medication administration skills to ensure proper dosage and timing of medications
